Due to shelter-in-place measures and social distancing, the Foragers held a virtual meeting for this month. With Zoom’s videoconferencing app, most of our Foragers were able to attend. We caught up on club business, mostly about cancellation of projects we had planned. Afterwards, we played a game using a coding game that co-leader Jen learned at the city’s 4-h computer science training a few months back. The activity was based on a bracelet coding activity from Code.org.
For the activity, members had to decode a honey bee related word and then answer a question on the topic of the word. You can get a sense of the game in the embedded presentation. Congrats to club members Paul and Sarah for winning the game and a $15 gift card to the business of their choice.
Also, if you’re curious about what our members learn in order to be able to answer these questions, you can find their study questions here.
