Foragers at 4-H Day at the State Capitol

Foragers 4-H Day at the Capitol 2020

By Lynn J.

This month, several of our Foragers attended the 4-H Day at the State Capitol. We left for the Capitol around 6:15 a.m. There were two vans. When we arrived in Richmond, we went to the Hampton Inn hotel. There we met some of the other groups and legislators. When we left there, we went to the Capitol. We were given a full tour. They told us about the basic structures of it and the people and who did what. After the tour, we were supposed to see an assembly, but the line was too long so we went to lunch at the Capitol restaurant. It was beautiful outside , so we ate out there. After lunch, we got pictures in front of the Capitol. After that, we went to the Governor’s Mansion for a tour. It was beautiful. The Governor even had a butler. Unfortunately, it was time to go back. It was so much fun and we are looking forward to next year.
