Foragers December 2019 Meeting

What a fun time the Foragers had at our December monthly meeting.  Luther presented his first ever Forager program on honey bees and the hive to the club and did a wonderful job. After conducting the business meeting, we moved on to our Christmas party where all members brought a dish. We had meatballs, sandwiches, and of course lots of sweets.

Once everyone had gotten their plates full, we settled in for the Forager Recognition Ceremony where we recognized our members for all of their hard earned achievements made during the year. Foragers were recognized for their community service participation in projects like weeding the pollinator garden in the Tidewater Beekeepers apiary and for conducting hive inspections at the Norfolk Christian Schools apiary. We also handed out many Outstanding Club Member awards, three of which were at the Gold Level and one at the Bronze. The evening ended with a white elephant gift exchange. We are so thankful for the hard work that our members put in to the last 4-H year and to our parents for getting them to all of our activities. Happy New Year!
