Every year, the Foragers attend the Pungo Strawberry Festival to educate the public on the importance of honey bees. This year, the City of Virginia Beach 4-H held a city-wide Visual Arts contest and our Forager member, Nina, entered her picture of bees in the beehive. Nina earned a 1st Place Blue Merit ribbon for the contest as well as winning 3rd Place in the Pungo Strawberry Festival’s People’s Choice contest. Congratulations to another one of our very talented members.
