The Foragers spent the Saturday of Memorial Day weekend at the Strawberry Festival. Gabby, Nina, Kayla and Amariah helped setup the Foragers table and kick off the day of educating the public about the importance of honey bees. Sarah and Paul took the afternoon shift. Mr. Hodgie brought an observation hive which is always the highlight of the display. The members took turns explaining the inner workings of the observation hive. The Foragers also had a table full of beekeeping tools, equipment and a teaching hive and explained how to use them to the visitors. Some of the members brought their blue ribbon photography and award winning bees wax to display.
