Every spring and fall Tractor Supply Co. holds the Clover Campaign in which they sell clovers as a fundraiser for 4-H. There generosity also extends to allowing 4-H clubs to come into the store and educate customers about the Forager’s activities and hold fundraisers for the club. The Foragers took advantage of this opportunity and had an in-store table display. We had an observation hive, which is always the favorite part of our display. The hive is a great way to get the public to ask questions about honey bees and it lets our Foragers share their knowledge with them. Club members brought baked goods to sell alongside the magnets we made in an earlier meeting and our honey bee origami seed packets with pollinator-friendly flower seeds. We also held a raffle for a $50 gift card to Tractor Supply and a hummingbird feeder.

Forager made magnets for fundraisers.

Honey Bee Origami Seed Packets
Club leader, Ms. Jen was so proud of the Foragers and told them that they should be very proud of themselves because:
- Educated the public about the importance of honey bees and became better public speakers!
- Had a very successful fundraiser that will help the club purchase the next round of bee hives awarded through the Hive Incentive Program.
- Attracted at least 2 potential new club members.
- Met a Master Gardener who will talk to her club about donating more wildflower seeds for the honey bee origami seed packets that you sold today.
